our story.
Kaleidoly was started when two teens were frustrated by the taboo against queerness in Asian culture. In Asian cultures, and many cultures around the world, being LGBTQ+ isn't just personal: it’s a rebellion against "honor," "family," and generations of expectation. Too many of us hide, afraid of rejection, afraid of failing the people we love.
So we built Kaleidoly: a space where queer teens could find the solidarity they might not get at home. A place where we aim to use stories --- no matter how big or small --- to show that we matter, and where "you’re not alone" isn’t just a slogan.
Today, we’re connecting teens across the globe, one story at a time. So if where you are doesn't feel safe yet, pull up a chair --- we're always here when you need it!
